I’ve finally got round to photographing the two necklaces I recently bought from online store Cheap Frills. I bought a porcelain guinea pig necklace from Cheap Frills last month (read about that here) and as I was so pleased with it, I couldn’t wait to return to find more treasures!
Naturally, I went for another animal themed piece, but this time I chose this lovely woodland rabbit locket:
As a cameo fan, I couldn’t resist this corpse-bride pendant:
(I’ve got my eye on the Henry VIII Tudor Charm bracelet and I’ll be adding it to my Christmas list!)
Today I went to one of Judy’s Vintage Fairs in Leamington Spa. The venue – The Assembly in Leamington – was perfect as the building was quirky and nearby parking was easy to find and reasonably priced.
There was a range of vintage clothes and jewellery stalls, a lovely tea room upstairs and a beauty salon housed in an amazing vintage caravan/trailer.
Yummy tea and cakes
After the tea break, I got down to the serious business of shopping! I got a lovely tweed blazer for the bargain price of £10, but my star buys today were these lovely pieces of jewellery from Ring O’ Roses:
My Little Pony (adjustable ring)
I also picked up this cute little Mona Lisa cameo from another stall:
With an entrance fee of just £2, I really would recommend visiting one of these fairs. To see the upcoming fairs and dates, click here.
I decided to treat myself (well, it was my birthday) to a really lovely piece of jewellery with a guinea pig theme. I’d been sporadically looking at eBay and online but nothing was ever quite what I wanted. Reading through an old copy of Vintage Life magazine, I came across an advert for an on-line jewellery store called Cheap Frills…and lo and behold, there happened to be this beautiful porcelain guinea pendant:
It arrived very promptly, beautifully wrapped AND with a free half moon pendant and necklace. What’s not to love?! I’m sat waiting for two more necklaces to arrive from Cheap Frills; you’ll have to just wait and see what they are like…
